Steven Feldman
Owner & Operator

Steven grew up in his family’s restaurants in the late sixties and seventies, learning the ropes by “helping out” at iconic spots like Herbert’s, Daddy-O’s, and more. After graduating high school, he opened his first restaurant, Daddy-O’s North in Lake George, and later earned a degree from the Culinary Institute of America.

A key figure in the growth of Birch Hill Catering since its acquisition in 1987, Steven has managed everything from intimate weddings to events of 55,000 guests. With decades of experience, he’s proud to work alongside his daughters, Serena and Val, continuing the family’s legacy of excellence and innovation.

Serena Feldman
Special Events Sales Manager

Meet Serena, our Special Events Sales Manager at Birch Hill Catering. Growing up in the family business, she started as an "Activities Participant," learning the ropes alongside her grandmother Felice. After pursuing a degree in Veterinary Science at SUNY Delhi and spending some time in Florida, Serena returned to Birch Hill, driven by her passion for creating unforgettable experiences for couples. With hands-on experience in every aspect of the industry, she ensures every event is a success, all while enjoying quality time with her two dogs, Willow and Scooby, who are the official welcome committee at Birch Hill.

Operations Manager

Growing up in Kinderhook, Will began his career at Birch Hill, assisting with summer picnics and pavilion parties before transitioning to formal dining service and operational roles like payroll and onboarding. After earning a Business Administration degree, he supported small businesses during the pandemic through the Paycheck Protection Program.

Now back at Birch Hill, Will applies his leadership and logistical expertise to ensure the venue continues its legacy of excellence. A close friend of the Feldman family, he works closely with Steven, Serena, and Val to deliver exceptional experiences for every event.

Joanne Haggerty
Corporate Events Sales Manager

Meet Joanne, our Corporate Event Sales Manager, who brings a wealth of experience from her roots in the Berkshires. Starting her journey in hospitality as a busser, she quickly mastered every facet of operations, climbing the ranks to management. With a bachelor's degree in psychology and a significant tenure at the historic Red Lion Inn, Joanne joined Birch Hill Catering in 2020, where she has become a driving behind our team. Passionate about event execution, she cherishes the intricate details that ensure each occasion unfolds seamlessly, taking pride in making every event a memorable experience.

Jared Barton
Special Events Sales Manager

Meet Jared, a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in the food & beverage and hospitality industries. Since joining Birch Hill in 2022, he has specialized in event planning, particularly weddings and private events, delivering exceptional service and unforgettable experiences. Outside of work, Jared loves renovating his historic colonial house, gardening, and hiking with his two dogs.

Molly Holman
Sales Assistant

Meet Molly Holman, our passionate event sales assistant who joined the Birch Hill Team in the summer of 2024. With a love for weddings, she thrives on bringing excitement to every special day. From running rehearsals to shadowing detail meetings, Molly is dedicated to ensuring everything goes smoothly on the day!
